I first discovered the CTL Fellows program during my freshman year, and was immediately drawn to its mission of making Hawaii a better place for all. Excited to apply, I was disappointed to learn that the program was only open to seniors, which meant I had to wait two years. Although I had to wait, my eagerness to participate in the program grew. Now as a senior, I am appreciative to be a part of this initiative. This opportunity allows me to enhance my leadership abilities and make a difference in Hawaii.

I first heard about the Fellows Program through my school's librarian, who nominated me to apply. After looking further into the program, I was inspired by its mission. I want to be a part of an effort that brings change to the islands and makes Hawai'i stronger. I also was inspired to apply knowing I would be working alongside seniors from all over the island.
