About the CTL Fellows Program

The Center for Tomorrow’s Leaders (CTL) Fellows Program is a year-long advanced leadership program to empower future state-level leaders for Hawaii, who are both world-class and local. Fellows cohorts are composed of 20 select high school seniors from both public and private schools, representing the diversity of Hawaii’s communities.

Through CTL’s rigorous leadership curriculum based on The Leadership Challenge, access to Hawaii’s top corporate, community, and civic leaders, implementation of hands-on community projects addressing Hawaii’s most entrenched issues & more, the CTL Fellows Program trains young leaders to be:

Expand Your Leadership Capacity

As a CTL Fellow, you'll take your leadership to the next level through our rigorous curriculum, which includes discussions ranging from ethics to the local economy, leadership theory based on research from the "Student Leadership Challenge," and more.

Meet New Friends

Make new friends with a cohort of fellows Fellows from different communities who all share a love for Hawaii, commitment to growth, and a deep desire to make a positive impact for our home.

Interview 20+ Influential Leaders

As a CTL Fellow, you have the opportunity to interview over 20 of Hawaii's foremost corporate, civic, and community leaders. Through roundtable discussions with current leaders, you'll envision Hawaii's next chapter and the kind of leadership needed to get there.

Serve Hawaii

CTL Fellows work in teams to design and implement a leadership project impacting some of Hawaii's most pressing needs at an island-wide level. Topics have included: police-community relations, clean energy, economic resilience, kupuna loneliness, tech-enabling small businesses and more.

Join Vanguard

After graduation, Fellows join Vanguard -- CTL's premier alumni network of over 2,000 young leaders from across the state. Vanguard continuing growing in leadership through special projects in civics, career, and community.
