Partner Schools ensure statewide accessibility of youth leadership programs
The Ambassadors Program is CTL’s extensive partnership with the Hawaiʻi Department of Education to run weekly leadership classes in high schools across five islands. Partner Schools allow CTL to develop 500+ young leaders every year in a three-year, project based learning structure.
Since 2011, Center for Tomorrow's Leaders has been fortunate to partner with the Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) in our Ambassadors Program. Together, we are developing a pipeline to engage, equip and empower young leaders for Hawaiʻi.
Our heart for the CTL Ambassadors Program is to reach non-traditional leaders — students who have tremendous leadership potential, but don't see themselves as "leaders" and are therefore not invested in through traditional leadership pathways like student government. Over 65% of CTL students do not hold a leadership title before joining the CTL Ambassadors Program.
CTL Student Leadership Facilitators work everyday in classrooms across the state to bring our effective, project-based curriculum and programs to local high school students from sophomore to senior year in a three-year structure.
By the 2023-2024 school year, the CTL Ambassadors Program will be in every HIDOE Complex Area, which means that every community will be represented by Hawaiʻi's future leaders.
